Dissatisfied with her job as teacher, smarting from being cheated on by
her partner , Adele Burke decides to take a year off, leave Dublin and return to her home-town of
Cairnsure on the south coast.
There, she hopes to rekindle the intensity of her childhood friendship with
accountant Jodi and ex-nurse Carlabut
finds that both her friends seem pre-occupied .Living with her widowed mother, Adele
soon regrets her decision to return to Cairnsure.
When New Zealander, Eoin Ahearn , arrives into town, Adele’s mother begs
her to have nothing to do with him but refuses to explain why.
